CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nueces County is hosting a job fair for a second day Tuesday morning at the courthouse.
The county says its looking to fill positions in the Public Works Department and Sheriff's Office.
Some of the jobs include equipment operators, truck drivers, maintenance workers, mechanics and corrections officers.
"We are looking for people who have at least a high school diploma or G-E-D, are 18 years of age or older, to come and actively work for the Sheriff's Department," Abel Carreon, a recruiter and background investigator for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office. "It has many benefits, so we are actively seeking anybody who fits the criteria to come and give us a shot, and look forward to a rewarding career."
There will be no on the spot interviews, but officials says those who are qualified will be contacted once the application period closes for each position.
It's happening from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. today and Tuesday.
