CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 31-year-old man from Corpus Christi, who admitted to attempting to solicit more than 50 boys on social media, will be serving time in federal prison for child pornography.
U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick announced Thursday that Lucas Antonio Nord pled guilty for the charges on November 5, 2019. Today, U.S. District Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos ordered Nord to serve 200 months in federal prison.
Nord used social media to communicate with minors and asked for sexual encounters and/or nude photos from them. The court also heard about two other victims outside of Texas.
Nord told law enforcement that he had contact with a 14-year-old Florida minor in April 2019, where he asked the minor to send him photos exposing him/herself. Nord also said he had sexual contact with at least two children, attempted to solicit more than 50 boys, and sent exposed photos and videos of himself.
During the court hearing, Nord was also ordered to pay one victim $3,000 in restitution.
Nord is in custody and awaiting transfer to a federal prison in the near future.
During his time in prison, he'll have limited access to the Internet. After he gets out, he will be a registered sex offender and will be on supervised release for the rest of his life.
The Corpus Christi Police Department – Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations helped with the investigation.
