CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Now that the holidays are over, the cities of Corpus Christi and Kingsville want residents to know how and where to throw out their bulky Christmas trees.

Corpus Christi:

The City of Corpus Christi's Solid Waste Department is asking residents to set out their ‘real’ Christmas trees out for collection during their neighborhood's brush and bulky set-out times.

Ornaments and lights should be removed from the tree before setting them out, and they should not be put into your recycling cart.

You can also take your tree to the J.C. Elliott Collection Center for free, Monday thru Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kingsville:

The Public Works Department for the city of Kingsville will be collecting Christmas trees though January 29, 2021 at 1300 E Corral in the parking lot.

They ask that you remove all lights and ornaments before delivering your tree.

All the trees will be recycled as mulch and available for free to the public.
