CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The demolition of the Cole Park Pier is picking up pace.
The pier's iconic T-head has been torn down along with a large stretch of the pier's walkway.
Demolition began about a week ago.
Construction of the new pier is expected to be just as fast.
The $7.5 million dollar replacement should be completed by September.
