CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city says it wants to work with people complaining about abnormally high water bills.

To make sure the issue doesn't have anything to do with a malfunctioning water meter, the city is waiving the $60 fee it charges to have a technician come look at it.

District 5 City Councilman Gil Hernandez tells us that this service will be available for the next "few weeks."

Anyone who believes their water bill is suddenly higher than it should be should contact the city's utility billing office.
