CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two people and an officer were transported to the hospital following a crash involving several vehicles.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Ayers and Horne Road.
According to police at the scene, a CCPD officer was traveling towards the Crosstown Expressway and was struck by a vehicle at the Ayers and Horne Road intersection.
The force of the crash led to several other vehicles being hit near the intersection. Corpus Christi Police Department Assistant Chief of Police David Blackmon said they are reviewing video.
Police at the scene said no one suffered any life-threatening injuries.
