CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — We have an update on that teenage boy who was hit by a truck while he was riding his bike on Ayers near Sunnybrook Monday afternoon.
According to Corpus Christi Police Officer Aaron Schmidt, around 3:30 p.m. Monday, the 15-year old was on his bicycle crossing the 4700 block of Ayers Street near Sunnybrook Drive when he was hit.
Police say his injuries were not life-threatening but it's not all good news for the teen.
He's being blamed for causing the accident because he tried to cross Ayers from a private driveway rather than a crosswalk.
The driver who hit him will not face any charges.
