CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A couple of police captains were in the right place, at the right time, that's because they saw a hit and run crash in front of Lowes home improvement store.

The incident happened at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Airline Road. Police say a car struck a vehicle and then hit a tree.

The captains saw people trying to flee the scene of the crash. They followed and arrested three people.

Police say after capturing the suspects, they found a couple of guns at the scene of the crash.

One person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
