CCPD: Man stabbed multiple times, suspect arrested

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — Corpus Christi police say a man was stabbed multiple times Sunday morning.

Police say the incident happened just after 10:10 a.m. Sunday in the 3600 blocks of Cox Circle near Brookhill Park, south of Calallen.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect with blood on his shirt. They arrested him while medics transported the stabbing victim to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital. Police say the suspect appears to be 45-years-old.

Medics told police the 38-year-old victim had multiple stab wounds, but the injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.

Lieutenant Paulo Hernandez, with the Corpus Christi police department, said the victim and the suspect knew each other.

Police say the suspect will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
