CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Corpus Christi man is recovering in the hospital after police said he was shot in the leg.
Police received reports of a shooting near Nueces and Van Loan Avenue around 7 a.m. Thursday. Officers searched the area but didn't see any signs of a shooting,
About an hour later, police received a phone call about a man found shot in the leg in the 3400 block of Leopard Street.
Police said the gunshot victim told them someone robbed him of his mouth grill and shot him in the leg. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still looking for the suspect involved in the shooting.
