CCPD investigates suspicious death on city's westside

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police are investigating what caused a man's death on the city's westside.

Police say they found a man's body who had serious injuries around 6:45 p.m. Friday behind the H-E-B store near Port Avenue and Tarlton Street.

Investigators say the man was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead when he arrived.

Crime scene investigators along with Detectives with CCPD Robbery/Homicide were called out to the scene.

There is no word on what injuries the man suffered before he was pronounced dead.
