CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police are investigating who is at fault in a fatal crash.
The crash happened along the southbound lanes of Interstate 37 near the Crosstown Expressway just before 10:25 am Sunday.
According to police, two vehicles, a car, and a motorcycle were traveling southbound on I-37 when one of the vehicles clipped the other. The collision caused the motorcyclist to lose control, hit the railing, and causing the motorcyclist to drive off of the freeway.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they pronounced the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.
Because of the fatal crash, investigators closed off parts along I-37 for their investigation.
There is no word yet if the driver of the other vehicle will face charges.
Investigators at the scene said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released at this time.
