CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The county medical examiner's office has identified the 36-year-old man killed in an early-morning shooting on the city's west side.
Jason Herrera was shot and taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday on the 1800 block of Sherman Street near Prescott.
Police say the shooter has not been identified and remains on the loose.
