CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police are looking for a suspect after a 17-year-old boy was shot.
The shooting happened around 9:35 pm Wednesday in the 300 block of 18Th Street in between Agnes and Laredo Street.
Lieutenant David Saldana, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, said, "A 17-year-old male was shot once. He has non-life threatening injuries at this time."

The victim was transported to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital.
Lt. Saldana said one person was detained, but it was determined he was a witness to the shooting.
Officers said there is one suspect that is still outstanding.
Police are asking witnesses to call Crime-stoppers at 888-TIPS if they have any information about the shooting.
