CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi ISD has made the decision to temporarily close T.G. Allen Elementary after a “significant increase” in COVID-19 cases on-campus.
On Saturday Nov. 7, the school district said they will be closing the school as a precaution after 5 cases have been reported since Nov. 6. Custodial staff will be deep-cleaning during this closure.
Staff and students will be remote until November 16. If parents need to pick up student devices, they may do so on Monday Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
CCISD said they will continue to make decisions with safety in mind, and thanked the community for all they are doing to keep schools healthy.
