This year the department is welcoming 50 new members out of more than 300 applicants, but it doesn't stop there.
CCFD is accepting applications from now through Jan. 10.
You can pick one up at City Hall or apply on the city's website.
No experience is needed, however applicants must be a United States citizen and between the ages of 19 and 36.
They are also hosting an informational recruitment meeting to cover everything related to the hiring process.
It’s happening at the Del Mar College West campus Public Safety Building at 6 p.m. tonight.
