CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Corpus Christi Gas Department is offering help to families who need to heat their homes this winter.
The program is called "Operation Heat Help." The City of Corpus Christi Gas Department, Nueces County Department of Social Services, and the City of Corpus Christi Utility Business Office have teamed up to provide the service to worthy applicants in the Coastal Bend.
You can submit an application now until March 31 of next year.
According to the city, the assistance is only for Natural Gas Bills between Nov. 2019 and Feb. 2020.
Applicants will be approved based on family size and monthly income.
Visit the Nueces County Department of Social Services at 602 N. Staples St. Ste. 180 with a current utility bill, proof of identification for all household members, and proof of household income for the past 30 days. This includes wages, unemployment benefits, child support, TANF, SSI, etc.
Money will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, as funds are limited.
