CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Diocese of Corpus Christi has decided for distance learning to start the Fall semester at local Catholic schools.
"Safeguarding the safety, health and well-being of our students, our faculty, and staff members, is our utmost priority," says a press release from the Diocese. "Therefore, the Diocese of Corpus Christi and Office of Catholic Schools are proceeding with an abundance of caution."
The diocese's schools will start Aug 5 with virtual distance learning only.
On Sept. 8, the schools will offer classroom instruction, virtual distance learning, and a hybrid virtual/in-person option.
"The delayed start to in-person learning will provide time for flattening of the curve and stabilization of the community spread of COVID-19 in our region, allowing for the safest opportunity to return," said their news release.
