CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local mother reached out to us, wanting to recognize her daughters for helping her when she needed it the most.
Kimberly Morris was with her daughters when she tripped over light cords and slammed into the concrete walkway.
She knew she had broken bones and couldn't get help.
But that's when her daughters, 7 and 8-year-old Violet and Lilly, sprang into action.
Lilly ran across the street to get help and violet called 911.
Morris says she broke both bones in her right arm and her right femur.
Morris is an ER nurse at Driscoll and her husband is an EMT.
She says they've told the girls what to do in case of an emergency and that day they proved they were listening by the way they handled the situation.
