CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Children entering the foster system will be getting an early Christmas present.
CASA of the Coastal Bend picked up 50 duffle bags from Del Mar College.
The tote bags were donated by Del Mar College's Child Development and Early Childhood Program.
The students packed the bags full of toiletries, books, toys, and even night lights for the kids.
The main purpose of the duffle bags is so the kids have something to pack their belongings in as they move from one home to another.
The Del Mar students had planned on handing out the bags earlier this year, but the project was postponed due to the pandemic.
