CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Independent School District board members discussed design possibilities for the new Mary Carroll High School today.

Plans for its original construction were put on hold after a safety issue led the district to change the site location.

Concerns that it was located near Cabaniss Field, in a U.S. Navy crash zone, prompted the district to reevaluate and choose a new site.

The new Carroll High School will now be built at the corner of Saratoga Boulevard and Kostoryz Road.

Designs for the new high school were presented at the meeting this afternoon.
