CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Visit Corpus Christi’s Board of Directors have appointed Brett Oetting as the organization's President & Chief Executive Officer.
The announcement comes after six months of a nationwide search for a permanent CEO by the Visit Corpus Christi Board of Directors.
Oetting replaces Paulette Kluge, who resigned in August after a controversy over a deal she made with Selena Quintanilla’s family regarding profits from Fiesta de la Flor.
Oetting comes from Topeka, Kan., where he was CEO for Visit Topeka.
He has more than 20 years experience in the tourism industry.
His first day on the job will be March 16.
