CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The discovery of a body near a homeless campsite on the south side has set off a police investigation.
The body was found around 4 p.m. Tuesday in a field off Saratoga between Staples and Cimarron.
It's not known if the person died of natural causes or if there was a crime involved.
Police haven’t released an identity of the deceased person, but believe it could be connected to a 3-month old missing persons case.
