SINTON, Texas — A $1.9 billion dollar steel mill is coming to Sinton.
Steel Dynamics announced they will be building its newest facility just north of town.
The facility will be a 1 million square foot flat roll mill.
The new plant will employ 600 people, at an average salary of $76,000 and produce around 3 million tons of steel annually.
It will also generate millions in revenue for Sinton, its school district, and San Patricio County.
