CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local homeless shelters are preparing for big crowds tonight as temperatures are expected to dip down even more.

The Good Samaritan Rescue mission officials said that with an overflow room available they'll have 230 beds ready for anyone needing a warm place to stay tonight.

And for those choosing to brave the elements, they'll be handing out blankets.

The folks at Good Samaritan say, donations to help meet demand are always welcomed.

“Like I said, we have plenty of blankets. Warm coats and stuff for the people that come in,” said Julia Wijsman, head housing manager at Good Samaritan. “We can always use more. We are just doing our best to stay warm.”

The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission is located at 210 S. Alameda St.
