CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A benefit lunch will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday for Brianna Cruz, the 20-year-old who died in an accident on Crosstown earlier this week.

The lunch will be held at The Dawg House, 4664 Kostoryz. They will be selling cheeseburgers, chips and coke for $7 with a goal to sell at least 300 plates.

The benefit is being held to help Cruz's family cover the cost of funeral expenses. She will be cremated and her services will be held on Saturday.

A second benefit will be held on March 21 for William Park, the 22-year-old passenger in the car and the two boys who were also in the vehicle. Park was Cruz's fiance and they are the parents of the two little boys who were in the back seat of the vehicle.

This benefit is to raise money because Park will be out of work for awhile with the hope that money from his benefit will help him get back on his feet and cover living expenses.

Park has been released from the hospital after the crash. He was banged up in the accident, but had no broken bones.

2-year-old Armando got out of surgery this afternoon for facial surgery. He fractured his femur and is wearing a splint and will be hospitalized for awhile longer.

1-year-old Joaquin sustained a gash on his left cheek, ear and nose. Those injuries were repaired by surgeons and he should be released from the hospital in a few days.
