CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local non-profit that teaches young girls how to play in a band reports that the community has donated bass guitars after they had some stolen.

Chica's Rock first posted about their situation shortly after 12 p.m. Tuesday.

"(These) Basses were stolen from us, they may not be the most valuable for some but for us they mean a lot." said the Facebook post. "Our Chicas don’t need to own an instrument to join Chica's Rock. We provide the instruments for them to use."

Later in the evening, the non-profit posted again, thanking those who had donated or let them borrow bass guitars.

"The community getting together to help Chica's Rock (is) a blessing," said the post. "Our girls and our program have always felt the love of all of you. Thanks for helping us keep on rocking. We love you"
