CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The medical examiner's office has released the identity of the shooting victim of an incident outside an apartment complex on Weber Road.
Miguel Rhodes, 29, of Corpus Christi, died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Corpus Christi police continue to look for a suspect in connection with the shooting.
Officers were called out to the 5200 block of Weber just before 4 a.m. Sunday after a shooting at the Weber Square Apartments.
When they arrived, they found the man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers performed CPR until medics arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Officers believe the man went outside and was involved in some kind of altercation with the suspect which escalated to shots being fired.
The suspect then fled in a dark colored vehicle.
Officers are unsure of the suspect's relationship to the victim, and do not have a suspect description at this time.
Detectives are also interviewing witnesses to gather any additional information about the suspect.
If and when the suspect is captured, they are expected to be facing murder charges.
