Annual back-to-school health fair scheduled for Aug. 17

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The L.E.A.D First Foundation will once again hold its Back-to-School Health, Education and Diabetes Fair for the community. The event is in its 13th year.

This year’s event is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August, 17, 2019 over at Moody High School, 1818 Trojan Drive.

In addition to shoe vouchers and backpacks filled with school supplies, health screenings and exams will be offered at no cost, including:

▪ Sports Physicals
▪ Hearing Tests
▪ Vision Tests
▪ Diabetes Tests
▪ Blood Pressure Tests
▪ Blood Sugar (Glucose) Tests

Immunizations will be available free of charge with proof of Medicaid enrollment. The cost is $10 per vaccine if no medical insurance is provided. Those needing shots should bring up-to-date vaccine records.

Auto emission checks will be performed at no charge during the fair.
