An Alice man who was injured in the Odessa mass shooting on Aug. 31 that left seven people dead has been released from the hospital.

A spokesperson for Medical Center Hospital in Odessa said Robert Cavazos was released earlier this month, about a week or so after being shot.

Cavazos was working in Odessa when one of Seth Aaron Ator's bullets hit his company vehicle, and then him.

Cavazos works for Rig Runner, an Alice-based company that hauls heavy equipment and machinery throughout the country, according to its website.
