Federal authorities located 84 pounds of concealed cocaine during a traffic stop.
It happened Sunday, Feb 9 in Jim Wells County.
Officers from Jim Wells and Live Oak stopped a white Chevrolet S.U.V. for a routine traffic stop. Upon questioning the driver, authorities asked the driver to conduct a search.
"Based on the interview, consent to search was requested and the driver denied consent. Officers then ran a K-9 around the vehicle," officials posted.
The dog helped them locate 34 bundles of cocaine weighing a total of 84 pounds hidden throughout the vehicle.
The driver was interviews and released while the case is under investigation.
