CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — UPDATE: The outage number according to the AEP website has been reduced to 7,092
People on Padre Island and Mustang Island are dealing with widespread power outages.
The outages started showing up on AEP's website a little before 4 pm, Saturday, July 13.
The cause of the outages has not been reported.
According to the AEP Texas Outage Map, some of the power is expected to be restored between 6:30 and 7:30 pm this evening.
