Stripes® Stores held an in-store fundraiser that raised a whopping $538,263 for Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

The campaign started on April 22 and ran through May 19. South Texas Stripes Stores asked customers if they would like to donate a dollar for the local children’s hospital. Those who donated received a Driscoll Children’s Hospital “I Donated” mobile icon with a $1 off coupon for a bottle of DASANI® water. The goal was to give back to the community by helping those who need help the most.

“This year celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Stripes’ partnership with Driscoll Children’s Hospital and the tenth anniversary of supporting the Stripes Child Life Program in satellite clinics, specialty centers and in the hospital,” stated Brad Williams, Senior Vice President, 7-Eleven, Inc. (Stripes Stores). “We are incredibly grateful to our team members and generous customers as they continue to support children and youth in our communities throughout South Texas.”

According to a press release, the money raised will also benefit Driscoll’s specialty clinics in Victoria, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Eagle Pass, and Del Rio.

Since 1999, Stipes has donated over $4.3 million to Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
