A tropical area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will bring numerous thundershowers to the region beginning on Tuesday and lasting until Thursday.
This system in the Bay of Campeche will move north along the Mexican coast and drift north across the Texas coast.
There is some possibility of development into a tropical system, but it will depend on its proximity to land. Expect heavy rains from 1 – 3 inches by midweek. The system will move out by Thursday and that will be followed by a heat wave with highs into the mid-90s by the weekend.
