City has an interactive map displaying current road closures in the Coastal Bend

The city of Corpus Christi has some work to do. We have a breakdown of what to expect on the roads between June 1 and June 7.

Monday, June 3 – Friday, June 13

Some utility work has to get done on Water Street between Broadway Court and Park Avenue. Drivers can expect the north and southbound Water Street to be reduced to one lane in the construction area.

Between Meadowbrook Drive and Brock Drive on Gollihar, there will be one lane of traffic eastbound on Gollihar in the work zone.

Ongoing (some during construction hours)

AEP contractors have the northbound shoulder at the intersection of Park Avenue and Water Street.

Tri-star Contractors have reduced northbound Cimarron Boulevard to one lane within the work zone, they are working between Queen Bess Drive and Yorktown Crossing Boulevard.

The Bayview Tower roof is getting some work done at 400 Mann Street. Two parking spaces are closed off on the east side of the building on Chaparral Street.

Wilkinson Drive is reduced to one lane of traffic with a flagger to guide motorists through at the 5200 block near Tiger Lane.

There are new stop signs and rumble strips on Rodd Field Road at the Airline Road Extension. It is currently an “All-Way” stop during construction. Police officers will be present to assist drivers Monday – Friday between 6 am and 9 am, as well as 4 pm and 7 pm.

Yorktown Boulevard closed to thru traffic between Geiger Drive and Bay Drive.

North and Southbound MacArthur Street, between Roslyn and Nimitz streets, will be reduced to one lane both ways. Additionally, flaggers will help control traffic during construction hours.

The Hemlock Place and Greenwood Drive intersection will be completely closed while Northbound Greenwood Drive, at Hemlock Place, will be reduced to one lane. Detour signs are in place.

The Harbor Bridge Project will cause some Seagull Boulevard to be closed between Surfboard Avenue and Gulfspray Avenue during construction hours.

Surfboard Avenue and Gulfspray Avenue are set to be closed to from E. Causeway Boulevard to Seagull Boulevard. Also, the same streets will be closed from Timon Boulevard to Seagull.
Airline Road – South Padre Island (SPID) to Holly Road.

Airline Road will see road closures north and southbound between South Padre Island and Holly Road. Where Airline Road meets Williams drive, east and westbound traffic will be closed, with the exception of right turns onto Airline Road.

Out on Yorktown, there are signs to guide motorists through some construction going on from Everhart Road to Staples Street.

Only local residents will have access on Bevly Drive, from Lansdown Street to Holmes Drive.

On Gollihar Road, some utility work is underway at the intersection of Gollihar and Weber Road. There is a detour at Carmel Parkway. Access to business and the side street will be between Weber and Carmel Parkway.

One lane of traffic northbound and southbound along Weber Road towards the Gollihar Road intersection. Through the intersection, traffic will shift to the west side of Weber. East side of Weber will be closed. No left turns at the Gollihar/Weber intersection. Eastbound traffic is restricted to “right only” movement onto Southbound Weber.

Our on North Beach, North Shoreline Blvd will be closed from Bridgeport Ave. to Coastal Ave. until the project is completed. One lane of traffic will be used along North Shoreline Blvd. from Pearl Ave. to Bridgeport Ave. The North Shoreline and Breakwater Ave intersection is closed. There are detour signs.

Out on Old Robstown Road, Southbound between Up River Road and Highway 44 (Agnes St.) is reduced to one lane. There are detour signs on the northbound side in the work zone.

On Staples Street, between Texas Trail and Weber, traffic is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction in the work zone.

On Laguna Shores Road, some utility improvements are taking place between Park Road 22 and Knickerbocker Street. Between Park Road 22 and Knickerbocker St. the road is closed to through traffic.

Our city also has a Street Preventative Maintenance Program and Residential Street Rebuild Project in place. According to a press release, these are the streets affected by that this week:
