Will oyster farming transform the Texas coast?

One of the bills just signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott will allow oyster farming in Texas.

And some business owners are ready to take on this new industry.

Texas has been the only U.S. coastal state that was not allowed to farm oysters. House Bill 1300 will change that.

Today, we’ll meet with downtown business owner Brad Lomax.

He is planning to go and start his own oyster farming for business.

We’ll also share when this law will come into effect and how it will work for Lomax and others.
