A promotion at Waves Resort has left some visitors dry in the parking lot this week. The water park featuring Schlitterbahn Water Parks promoted American Heroes Week starting Monday, May 27th and ending Sunday, June 2nd.
The park is giving free access to military including veterans and retired military, EMT’s, firefighters and police officers. Family members get 40 percent off.
Now that school is out, families are ready to enjoy the park but are out of luck. It turns out the park does not open until Friday, May 31st.
Today, an employee at the park said the the park is honoring the promotion Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
