A San Antonio family was involved in a horrific car accident on the Harbor Bridge on Saturday, May 25th, 2019.
Parents share family members have made it out of the hospital except for the youngest member, 10-year old Sophia Munson.
Munson is being treated at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
Her mother tells our KRIS 6 news team that Sophia is in critical condition.
The accident left Sophia with severe head and facial injuries and she also suffered a stroke.
“Due to the fact of the injuries of my daughters her life is never going to be the same, our life is never going to be the same, and you know we do thank God that we are alive, but we have a very long road ahead of us,” says Sophia’s mother Jacqueline Martinez.
Parents also say Sophia has about twelve more surgeries ahead.
