A group of international exchange students are in Corpus Christi this weekend for a little volunteer work.
Local Rotary club members teamed up with Houston-area Rotarians to bring in 17 exchange students from countries like Russia, Italy and Germany to help set up a toy room and spruce up the playground at the Metro Ministries Shelter for Women and Children.
The students will also be at Loaves and Fishes this evening to hand out backpacks full of essentials to the homeless.
The volunteer effort is in conjunction with the Rotarian’s District Conference being held in Corpus Christi this weekend.
