The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for three awards to be announced during the “Changing of the Gavel Banquet” Thursday, June 6 at the LaPalma Event Center.
One award winner will be nominated from the community at large for Citizen of the Year, one by members of the Chamber for Chamber Member of the Year and the newly created award, a non-profit Chamber Member Organization of the Year.
Those who stepped up during the year as our recovery process continues will be receiving a special plaque. “It is an honor just to be nominated and we have so many worthy people. I would like to receive as many nominations as possible,” said the chairman of the Board Jatin Bhakta.
The banquet will also feature the new theme “This is Home – Building Business, Building Community.” There will also be announcements of the incoming and outgoing officers and directors and accomplishments of the year.
Nomination forms include the criteria for selection and are available at the Chamber of Commerce office at 319 Broadway on Rockport Harbor.
Chamber Board of Directors encourage members of our community to reflect and think back over the year and nominate someone deserving of this award. Deadline for submitting a nomination is Wednesday, May 22 by 5 p.m.
