Corpus Christi police say two women are dead following a shooting on the city’s northside.
According to CCPD Police Chief Mike Markle, an officer was called out in reference to a disturbance with a weapon inside an apartment complex located in the 3000 block of Buffalo Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, a suspect opened fire on a police unit.
The suspect tried to get away from the scene, but officers found him and placed him under arrest. When officers walked into an apartment, they discovered two women dead.
Chief Markle said the officers were not hit and were able to take the suspect without discharging their weapons. Police officers say the investigation is on-going.
