A man accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend to death in 2015 has pleaded guilty.
Arturo Garza is charged will killing 27-year-old Susanna Eguia in May of 2015.
Garza’s trial, which was scheduled to begin today, moved onto the sentencing phase after he confessed to the judge that he had killed Eguia.
Investigators say Garza killed Eguia in a garage on Cheyenne Street after he became upset over a website she had visited.
Garza is facing the death penalty or life in prison for the murder.
