A local facility is preparing to close its doors and lay off more than 200 employees next month.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Post Acute Medical will layoff more than 220 employees next month.
The facility, on the 6200 block of Saratoga, offers specialized care to patients who have undergone major surgeries.
According to T.W.C., Post Acute Medical will lay off 162 employees on April 11. Sixty-five employees will be laid off on April 20.
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend tells KRIS 6 news they have assigned their Rapid Response Team to help those affected by the layoffs to find other jobs in our area.
