The Salvation Army is continuing to help those affected by the recent government shutdown.
Today, the non-profit food pantry was handing out boxes of food to once furloughed federal workers.
Many federal employees are still trying to get back on their feet after the 35 day shutdown, and events like todays provide those workers some of the help they need.
The Salvation Army will hold another food giveaway tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1802 Buford Street.
