Shooting leaves one man in critical condition

Corpus Christi police are looking for a man, accused of shooting a family member, leaving him in critical condition.

The incident happened in the 300 block of Baker Drive near Driscoll Middle School around 6:50 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, a man in his mid-forties got into an argument with a family member in his mid-thirties and as the victim drove away, a shot was fired.

Investigators said the victim was struck by a bullet and drove his truck just a block away but crashed into another vehicle in the 400 block of Brooks Drive.

Police officers and an ambulance crew arrived at the scene and the man was transported to a hospital. He was listed in critical condition Sunday evening.

Lieutenant Phillip Bintliff. with the Corpus Christi police department, said they know the identity of the shooter. Police said the suspect is still on the loose.

As of late Sunday evening, there is no word yet on the condition of the victim.
