More than 700 Kane Beef employees will have to wait at least one more day to find out what will happen to the company.
A scheduled auction to sell the company started today in Houston, but has been continued until Thursday at 4 p.m.
Judge Richard Schmidt, the attorney appointed to oversee operations at the plant says the auction is going well so far.
A deal to sell Kane Beef fell through last week and since then, most of the company’s 750 employees have been furloughed.
