Debris washing up on Padre Island National Seashore

Large debris is washing up at the Padre Island National Seashore, and officials there are not sure where it came from.

A post on Facebook by the seashore shows scattered debris at the 17-mile marker on the South Beach on Sunday.

The post says the Facilities Maintenance Division has cleared the debris from the northern boundary of the park to approximately mile marker 8 on South Beach.

They caution that after the 15-mile marker, the beach is practically impassable.
