Students from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi were out today to lend a hand at a local historic site in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
Nearly 30 students spent the day cleaning, painting and making repairs at the Ritz Theater downtown.
Today’s work focused mostly on the theater’s lobby, so that are can be utilized while other sections are being renovated.
Despite the volunteer effort, the Ritz still needs monetary donations to match a city grant to fix the theater’s roof and restrooms.
