The new fitness gym that is taking Texas by storm is Orangetheory.
A one-hour full body workout class equipped with an upbeat coach, loud music and a heart-rate monitoring philosophy – all while burning fat in an orange room.
Your workout will consist of interval training on a treadmill, power movements with the water tower and strength training involving weights.
The goal, to keep your heart rate in the orange and red zones. There are screens throughout the workout room that helps you see how hard you are working. Trying to obtain the goal of getting more than 12 points. After 12 points you are in the after-burning zone, which means you will burn fat up to 36 hours after your workout.
Orangetheory in Corpus Christi will have their official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Friday at 1 p.m. encouraging everyone to come out and learn what Orangetheory is all about.
