The Kane Beef processing plant resumed operations today after a temporary shutdown last week.
The facility was shutdown on Jan. 18, due to a problem with the plant’s wastewater system.
City officials told the company that water being used to process its cattle was no longer meeting established standards, and that the city couldn’t accept the plant’s waste water.
Over the weekend, crew were able to make and adjustment to the waste water system, and today the plant was back up and running.
The city has scheduled a hearing on Thursday to discuss follow up action taken by Kane Beef.
